Brandon Kinzer Strong in 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals' at
Volusia!
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his Kinzer Motorsports team
are fresh off a busy six-day stretch of Dirt Late Model racing during
the annual 'Alltel DIRTcar Nationals' at the Volusia Speedway Park
in Barberville, Florida. With Mother Nature taking the win on one
occasion, five events were placed in the record books from February
11-16 at the 1/2-mile dirt oval, which is located just outside of
Daytona Beach. Brandon was able to advance his #18 GRT machine into
the A-Main on three of the five nights, while he just barely missed
out on a transfer spot on the other two occasions.
The Allen, Kentucky native finished seventeenth and eleventh in
two $7,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series events held at VSP on February
11 and 13 respectively. Brandon then had a great car during the
World of Outlaws Late Model Series show on February 14, but a mechanical
failure early in the $10,000 to win race relegated him to a very
disappointing twenty-seventh place performance. You can read more

"I was pretty pleased with how everything went at Volusia,
as our GRT car ran strong each night," commented Kinzer earlier
in the week via telephone. "We just needed a little luck here
and there, but I think our car was good enough to have made the
show each night. The race track was pretty rough all week, but it
was probably as racy as I have ever seen that place."
The #18 Dirt Late Model team will take this coming weekend off
from racing action, but will be back at it again on Sunday, March
9 at the Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee. The Advance Auto
Parts Thunder Series will sanction a $4,000 to win event on March
9 at "The Taz." More information concerning this race
