Brandon Kinzer Readies for Talladega Doubleheader Following
Boyds
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team competed in one lone
Dirt Late Model event last weekend, as they traveled to the Boyd's
Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Friday night, April 16. The Volunteer
Racing Series (VRS) sanctioned their first-ever event at Boyd's
on Friday and a $3,000 top prize was up for grabs. Brandon Kinzer
finished a strong second in heat race action, which earned him the
fifth starting spot in the 40-lap main event. Unfortunately, BK
was caught up in a couple of early race incidents, none of which
were his fault, and wound up finishing in the fifteenth position.
Complete results from the inaugural VRS race can be found online
at www.racevrs.com.
Weather pending, the #18 team plans to travel to the Talladega
Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on April 23-24. A pair of unsanctioned
Dirt Late Model shows will be held at TST this weekend. Brandon
will compete for the $2,000 winner's check on Friday night, while
he will gun for the $5,000 payday on Saturday evening. Additional
information about the track deemed as the "Hornet's Nest"
can be found online at www.talladegashorttrack.com.
