Brandon Kinzer Charges to Fourth at the Mountain; Talladega
Short Track Up Next!
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 Dirt Late Model team
invaded the Volunteer State of Tennessee over the April 17-18 weekend
for a pair of Tennessee Thunder DirtCar Series (TTDCS) and Southern
Regional Racing Series (SRRS) co-sanctioned events. On Friday night
at the Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, Tennessee, Brandon ran second
in his heat race to earn a coveted starting spot in the $3,000 to
win A-Main. Unfortunately for the Kinzer Motorsports team, terminal
mechanical problems sidelined them prior to the running of the feature
and they were credited for a twenty-fourth place finish, although
they did not start the race.
Things got much better for the #18 team on Saturday at the Mountain
Raceway in Maryville, Tennessee. Brandon made a strong charge through
the stout field to finish fourth in the final rundown of the $3,000
to win main event behind winner Randy Weaver, Tommy Kerr, and Scott
Bloomquist. You can view full results from both shows by accessing
www.ttdcs.com.
Next up for the Kinzer Motorsports team will be a trip to the Talladega
Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on Friday and Saturday, April
24-25. An unsanctioned event will be held at the "Hornet's
Nest" on Friday and a $2,000 top prize will be up for grabs.
The O'Reilly Southern Allstars Series (OSAS) will then invade TST
on Saturday and a $5,000 winner's check is on the line. To learn
