(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team traveled north
to the Hoosier State of Indiana over the weekend for a pair of O'Reilly
NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series events! On Friday, April 20,
Brandon nearly missed transferring to the $3,000 to win A-Main at
the Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon, Indiana after finishing
fourth in his heat race and second in the B-Main. Unfortunately
for the #18 team, only the top three out of each heat race and the
winner of each consolation event earned a spot in the 40-lap A-Main.
On Saturday at the Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana,
things got better for the Allen, Kentucky based Dirt Late Model
team. After running fifth in his heat race, Brandon won his consolation
race to gain access into the $4,000 to win 'Hoosier Dirt Classic'
main event. He rolled off from the outside of the ninth row for
the 40-lap affair, but Brandon was able to get by six cars en route
to a solid twelfth place finish in the twenty-fourth annual event!

"It was a decent weekend for us, especially considering I
had never been to Twin Cities and had only raced at Brownstown a
couple of times," quoted Kinzer this week. "We had a pretty
good car at Twin Cities on Friday, but just got behind the eight
ball by not qualifying too well. Then at Brownstown, I think we
would have advanced up inside of the top ten pretty easy if the
track did not take rubber early in the feature. Our GRT car was
real good in the slick and I got up to tenth I think, but then I
just got way too tight when the track turned one-lane."
The Kinzer Motorsports team will be back at it this coming weekend,
as they travel to the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama
for a pair of events. On Friday, April 27, a $2,000 top prize is
up for grabs in an unsanctioned event. The O'Reilly Southern Allstars
Series will then roll into town on Saturday and they will sanction
a $5,000 to win event. For more information on these two shows,
