Brandon Kinzer to Take Weekend Off Following Lucas Oil
Tripleheader…
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team invaded the states
of Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama from June 12-14 for a trio of
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series races. The weekend kicked off for
the #18 team on Thursday night, June 12 at the Duck River Speedway
in Wheel, Tennessee, as a $7,000 top prize was on the line. Brandon
Kinzer ran third in his heat race to earn the seventh starting spot
for the 40-lap main event. BK was deemed late to the starting grid
and unfortunately had to start at the tail end of the stout field,
but rallied to salvage an eleventh place performance.
The dirt-slinging action then turned to the North Georgia Speedway
in Chatsworth, Georgia on Friday for a $10,000 to win event. Brandon
was strong in qualifying and later finished third in his heat race.
After rolling off from the inside of the fifth row for the 50-lap
A-Main, the Allen, Kentucky native drove his #18 GRT entry to a
fifteenth place finish.
The weekend finale then took place on Saturday evening, June 14
at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. The cameras
of the SPEED Channel were on hand throughout the night at TST to
tape all of the exciting action for broadcast later in the year.
Brandon, for the third time on the weekend, ran third in his heat
race to earn a coveted starting spot in the $10,000 to win feature
event. After starting twelfth on the grid, Brandon maintained his
position and wound up twelfth in the final rundown. You can view
