Kinzer Motorsports Lands Pair of Podium Finishes Over Holiday
Weekend!
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 Dirt Late Model team
trekked to the Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia and the
201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky over the 4th of July holiday weekend.
On Friday night, the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS)
rolled into Wythe for the first time and a $5,000 top prize was
up for grabs. Brandon qualified fifth quickest in SAS time trials,
which allowed him to start from the inside of the third row in the
50-lap main event. BK had a fast racecar from the outset and moved
up two positions en route to a solid third place effort behind only
winner Chris Madden and runner-up Chris Wall.
The action quickly turned to 201 on Saturday evening for a special
$3,000 to win unsanctioned show. Brandon laid down the quickest
lap during qualifying and later won his heat race. After leading
the first nine circuits of the A-Main, the Allen, Kentucky native
crossed underneath the checkered flag in the third spot behind only
winner Jackie Boggs and runner-up Chris Combs. Complete results
from both programs can be found online at www.wytheraceway.com
and www.race201.com.
Kinzer Motorsports has elected to take the upcoming July 9-10 weekend
off from Dirt Late Model competition; however, they will be in action
this Monday night, July 12. Ray Cook's Southern Nationals Series
will kick off on Monday at the Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia
and a $3,500 winner's check will be on the line. You can view Brandon's
