(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team traveled to the
Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia on Saturday night, August
11 for a $4,000 to win Carolina Clash Late Model Series show. Brandon
timed in third quickest in qualifying to earn the inside second
row starting spot for the 40-lap feature event. During the course
of the A-Main, BK got up to the second spot and was working on leader
Dennis Franklin when the leaders were involved in an incident with
only a handful of laps remaining.
On lap 34, Brandon was collected by Franklin, who apparently broke
an axle tube. The Allen, Kentucky native had no where to go after
Franklin broke and the two made heavy contact. Unfortunately, Brandon's
#18 GRT machine was badly damaged in the wreck and he was relegated
to a disappointing seventeenth place performance. You can view complete
results online at www.carolinaclash.com!
"We just had some more bad luck the other night at Wythe,"
commented Kinzer this week. "I qualified well and I think we
had the car to beat in the feature. Rambo (Franklin) had softer
tires on and I had closed right up on him when he broke. Unfortunately,
he got into the wall hard and I had no where to go. The wreck tore
a bunch of stuff up on the car, but we will be ready to go this
weekend at Brownstown!"
The Kinzer Motorsports team is set to invade the Brownstown Speedway
in Brownstown, Indiana this coming weekend for the 28th Annual 'Jackson
100.' On Friday night, August 17, an unsanctioned $2,500 to win
show will be held at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval. The stakes
will be much higher on Saturday evening, August 18, as the Lucas
Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolls into town to sanction the prestigious
'Jackson 100.' The 100-lap feature event on Saturday, which will
be taped by the SPEED Channel cameras for broadcast later in the
year, will pay $15,000 to the winner! You can view more information

venue by accessing www.brownstownspeedway.com!
