Brandon Kinzer Set to Tackle Two More SRRS Events this Weekend
at Boyd's and Brasstown!
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team entered a pair of
Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) showdowns on August 13-14
in the states of Tennessee and Georgia. On Friday night, the Duck
River Speedway in Wheel, Tennessee played host to a $2,000 to win
event. Brandon Kinzer laid down the quickest lap during SRRS qualifying
to earn the pole position for the feature. BK ran over something
on the track early in the race, which messed up his front suspension,
but he was still able to hang on to a solid second place effort
behind winner Jay Brinkley.
The North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia then took center
stage on Saturday evening with a $3,000 to win SRRS program. Brandon
ran second in heat race action and later wound up eighth in the
final rundown of the main event. Complete results from the SRRS
doubleheader can be located online at www.southernregionalracingseries.com.
Two more Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) events will greet
the #18 team this upcoming weekend (August 20-21). Up first will
be a trip to the Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Friday
followed by the weekend finale at the Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown,
North Carolina on Saturday. Both programs will be headlined by $3,000
to win feature events. Additional information about both venues
can be accessed by visiting www.southernregionalracingseries.com.
All summer long, fans are encouraged to donate money for Brandon
Kinzer to "Brave the Shave!" The campaign, which kicked
off at the 'Dream 100' in early June, will culminate during the
'World 100' weekend at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on
September 9-11. Brandon, along with twenty other drivers, will shave
their heads at Eldora to raise money for three worthy cancer charities.
