(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team invaded the Brownstown
Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana over the weekend for a pair of Dirt
Late Model events. On Friday evening, August 17, Brandon Kinzer
won his heat race to earn the pole position for the $2,500 to win,
unsanctioned A-Main. After thirty green flag racing laps around
the 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval, Brandon was credited with a solid
sixth place performance. The Allen, Kentucky native also won a non-winners
race later in the evening to capture his first feature win at the
historic Jackson County Fairgrounds facility.
On Saturday, August 18, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolled
into Brownstown and a $15,000 payday was up for grabs in the 28th
Annual 'Jackson 100.' After qualifying fastest in his group during
time trials, Brandon finished fourth in his heat race and third
in his B-Main. Unfortunately, both of those finishes were one position
out of a transfer spot into the 100-lap feature event. You can view
complete results from these races online at www.brownstownspeedway.com!
The #18 team will jump right back into Dirt Late Model action this
week at the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee for the annual
'Scorcher 100.' The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will sanction
the show this year, which boasts a first place prize of $20,000
and a minimum of $3,000 to start. Qualifying and heat race action
for the 'Scorcher 100' will take place tonight, August 22, while
consolation events and the 100-lap A-Main are slated for Thursday,
August 23. You can read more about this race online at www.volunteerspeedway.com.
After a day off on Friday, the Kinzer Motorsports team will make
the tow to the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio on Saturday, August
25 for another World of Outlaws Late Model Series show. A one-day,
$10,000 to win event will be held at the south-central Ohio oval
this Saturday. Brandon will be using the race to help serve as a
tune-up for the annual $50,000 to win 'Dirt Track World Championship,'
which will be held at Chillicothe in mid-October. Please visit www.worldofoutlaws.com
