(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team entered two Dirt
Late Model events over the busy Labor Day holiday weekend. On Saturday,
September 1, the #18 team traveled to the nearby 201 Speedway in
Sitka, Kentucky for a $3,000 to win O'Reilly NARA Battle of the
Bluegrass Dirtcar Series show. Following a second place heat race
performance, Brandon Kinzer rolled off sixth for the A-Main. The
Allen, Kentucky native got up to as high as second in the running
order at 201 last Saturday before ultimately finishing in the fifth
position behind winner Paul Harris, Tim Tungate, Anthony Adams,
and Jason Keltner.
The action then turned to the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth,
Ohio on Sunday evening, September 2 for a $10,000 to win Mid-Atlantic
Championship Series (MACS) show. Brandon timed in twenty-sixth quickest
in qualifying prior to running fifth in his heat race. BK then won
his B-Main to earn the seventeenth starting spot for the 75-lap
main event. During the course of the A-Main, Brandon was able to
pass six cars en route to an eleventh place effort.
Brandon and his #18 team are now set to make the journey to the
Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for the 37th Annual 'World 100.'
The prestigious event will take place this weekend at the "Big
E" and a $40,000 top prize is up for grabs. Qualifying and
non-qualifiers races are scheduled for Friday, September 7 at the
1/2-mile, high-banked dirt oval, while the heat races, consolation
events, and 100-lap 'World 100' are all slated for Saturday evening.
Brandon will be looking to make his second career start in the race
known as the "Granddaddy of Them All," as he finished
eleventh back in 2002. You can learn more about this year's version
