Brandon Kinzer Cashes $3,000 Victory at Winchester for First
Win of 2011!
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Allen, Kentucky driver Brandon Kinzer picked
up his first feature win of the 2011 racing season on Saturday night,
September 3 at the Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Tennessee!
Aboard his spec-motor powered #18 GRT racecar, Brandon laid down
the quickest lap during the qualifying session to earn the pole
position for the Tennessee Super Series main event. BK then grabbed
the top spot on the first circuit and never looked back by leading
flag-to-flag in the 40-lapper. Brandon claimed the $3,000 top prize
in beating Ronnie Johnson, David Brannon, Daniel Miller, and Corey
Posey to the checkers!
The Labor Day weekend was scheduled to wrap up for the #18 team
on Sunday, September 4 with another $3,000 to win Tennessee Super
Series showdown at the Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tennessee.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature took the win, as persistent rain showers
moved through the area on Sunday. Full results from Saturday's program
at Winchester can be accessed online at www.dirtondirt.com.
"Our car was on rails the entire night at Winchester,"
quoted Kinzer recently. "I can honestly say that I have never
driven a car that handled so good. Anytime you can beat (Ronnie)
Johnson in this part of the world, that is really saying something,
so I am pleased to have gotten that first win of the season under
our belt. We haven't run that much this year, but hopefully there
are a few more victories around the corner for us!"
The Kinzer Motorsports team has opted to take the upcoming September
9-10 weekend off from racing action. Their next scheduled event
will be next Friday, September 16 at the Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold,
Georgia. The STARS Volunteer Racing Series (VRS) will sanction a
$3,000 to win program next Friday at the Chattanooga area bullring.
