(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer became the first Kentucky driver
in the storied history of the Carolina Clash Late Model Series to
win a series event, as he reached victory lane on Saturday night,
September 15 at the Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia. The
Allen, Kentucky native qualified second fastest in time trials and
hunted down polesitter and race leader Ricky Weeks early on in the
40-lap main event. Brandon eventually took the point from Weeks
on lap nine and set sail for the remainder of the race. BK picked
up a $4,000 payday for his victory over Jeff Smith, Shane Roberts,
Ricky Weeks, and Deano Long. You can view complete results from

"I just have to thank my crew, first off, for giving me a
perfect car to drive the other night at Wythe," commented Kinzer
this week via telephone. "We qualified well and that put is
in position to win the race, but that car was absolutely perfect
in the feature. The decision to go harder on tires really paid off
and helped up us earn that elusive first win of the season. Hopefully,
we can put together a couple of more victories before the year is
over and end the season on a high note!"
The Kinzer Motorsports team will travel to the Duck River Speedway
in Wheel, Tennessee this coming weekend for the 'Tennessee State
Championship.' The Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) will sanction
the two-day show, which will be highlighted by a $10,000 to win
feature event on Saturday night, September 22. Group qualifying
and heat race action will kick off the weekend on Friday evening,
September 21, while the B-Mains and the 75-lap feature event will
take place on Saturday. You can learn more about this exciting race
