Brandon Kinzer Leads Early in World Cup Classic; Settles for
Strong Third Place Finish!
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team ventured to the K-C
Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio over the October 2-3 weekend for the
inaugural running of the 'World Cup Classic.' The O'Reilly All Star
Late Model Series (ASLMS) sanctioned the event, which boasted a
hefty $20,000 top prize. Brandon Kinzer qualified eleventh fastest
on Friday night and later won his competitive heat race to earn
the pole position for Saturday's 100-lap main event.
The Allen, Kentucky native sported a very strong Rocket racecar
during the course of the 'World Cup Classic' on Saturday and led
the first twenty-two circuits. After giving way to eventual winner
Shane Clanton on a lap 22 restart, Brandon battled hard around the
3/8-mile speedplant and eventually notched an impressive third place
performance behind winner Clanton and runner-up Eddie Carrier, Jr.
