Brandon Kinzer Shifts Focus to DTWC Following Strong Tarheel
50 Run
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 Dirt Late Model team
trekked south last Thursday night, October 8 to the historic Cleveland
Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee. The 6th Annual 'Tarheel 50' was
on tap at Cleveland on Thursday and a $5,000 winner's check was
on the line. Brandon was unable to lock himself into the feature
event via qualifying, but did win his B-Main to earn a coveted starting
position in the 'Tarheel 50.' During the course of the 53-lap main
event, Brandon was able to maneuver his #18 Rocket entry past eight
competitors en route to a solid sixth place performance.
BK finished the 'Tarheel 50' behind only winner Dale McDowell,
Skip Arp, Shane Clanton, Rick Rogers, and Clint Smith. The Kinzer
Motorsports team then had their sights set on a $7,000 to win Lucas
Oil Late Model Dirt Series show on Friday evening, October 9 at
the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. Unfortunately,
Mother Nature took the win at TST and Brandon only competed in one
show over the weekend. You can view complete results from Cleveland
on Thursday by pointing your web browser to www.clevelandspeedway.com.
The #18 team is currently readying their equipment for one of the
biggest and most prestigious Dirt Late Model races in the country.
The 29th Annual 'Dirt Track World Championship' will be held on
Saturday and Sunday, October 17-18 at the refurbished Lawrenceburg
Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Qualifying and heat race action
will take place at the 3/8-mile, high-banked complex on Saturday,
while the last chance races and the $50,000 to win, 100-lap main
event will be held on Sunday. You can view additional information
