BK BREAKING NEWS

JANUARY 3, 2012 --- The Kinzer Motorsports team announced today that they once again plan to skip "Speedweeks 2012" in Georgia and Florida this February. Instead, Brandon Kinzer will most likely kick-off his 2012 campaign sometime in the month of March. As soon as BK gets a tenative schedule ready, it will be posted on the SCHEDULE page of the website!

OCTOBER 23, 2011 --- Brandon Kinzer, of Allen, Kentucky, recorded his second Dirt Late Model feature win of the 2011 campaign on Friday night, October 21 at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama! After timing in second fastest during the qualifying session, Brandon rolled off from the outside of the front row in the A-Main. BK led the first half of the feature prior to Tim Busha taking over the point. However, Brandon stayed up on the wheel and powered past Busha late in the race to score the $2,000 triumph!

On Saturday evening, October 22, another $2,000 top prize was on the line at the track deemed as the "Hornets Nest." Brandon qualified eighth quickest during time trials, which locked him into the outside of the fourth row in the main event. He then wheeled his #18 entry past five competitors in the A-Main to claim a third place performance behind only winner Tony Knowles and runner-up Tim Busha. OCTOBER 16, 2011 --- The Kinzer Motorsports team invaded the Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Friday night, October 14 for a Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) topless showdown. Brandon Kinzer timed in second fastest in his group during qualifying and third quickest overall to earn the outside second row starting spot in the $3,000 to win feature event. During the course of the 40-lapper, Brandon ran as high as third before slipping back to ninth following a long caution period, which sealed over his tires. The Allen, Kentucky native eventually worked his way back up to sixth by the checkers to finish behind only winner Billy Ogle, Jr., Vic Hill, Anthony Burroughs, John Ownbey, and Riley Hickman. OCTOBER 3, 2011 --- Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team ventured to the Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tennessee on Saturday evening, October 1 for a $3,000 to win Tennessee Super Series showdown. Brandon struggled a bit during the qualifying session, but later blasted to the front of the field in his consolation race to take the win. After starting from the inside of the eighth row in the A-Main, Brandon quickly moved up inside of the top ten, but unfortunately got his left rear tire cut down by another competitor. The Allen, Kentucky native went pitside for new rubber and returned to the racetrack to salvage a twelfth place finish. SEPTEMBER 19, 2011 --- The Kinzer Motorsports team returned to Dirt Late Model competition on Friday night, September 16 at the Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia! The STARS Volunteer Racing Series (VRS) sanctioned a $3,000 to win program on Friday at the Chattanooga area bullring. With wet, wide-open track conditions and his spec-motor package, Brandon was a little under-powered during qualifying, but later grabbed the fifth and final transfer spot in his B-Main. After rolling off from the outside of the tenth row in the 40-lap feature event, Brandon stormed past twelve competitors en route to a strong eighth place performance. Complete results from Boyd's can be viewed online at www.racevrs.com.

SEPTEMBER 5, 2011 --- Allen, Kentucky driver Brandon Kinzer picked up his first feature win of the 2011 racing season on Saturday night, September 3 at the Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Tennessee! Aboard his spec-motor powered #18 GRT racecar, Brandon laid down the quickest lap during the qualifying session to earn the pole position for the Tennessee Super Series main event. BK then grabbed the top spot on the first circuit and never looked back by leading flag-to-flag in the 40-lapper. Brandon claimed the $3,000 top prize in beating Ronnie Johnson, David Brannon, Daniel Miller, and Corey Posey to the checkers!

The Labor Day weekend was scheduled to wrap up for the #18 team on Sunday, September 4 with another $3,000 to win Tennessee Super Series showdown at the Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tennessee. Unfortunately, Mother Nature took the win, as persistent rain showers moved through the area on Sunday. Full results from Saturday's program at Winchester can be accessed online at www.dirtondirt.com.
